Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid! I had had this stethoscope for about 3 years (got it at the start of residency) and the tubing began to crack in multiple places and is now barely holding together. I've now had it for about 4 years at the time of writing this--I had let it sit in my office after cracking, and I went back to my much cheaper stethoscope that I've had since I started medical school. I saw it sitting in my office and decided I'd call 3M to see what options were available to repair it. Turns out the warranty on it is only 2 years, compared to 5 years for the cheaper Master Cardiology stethoscope. It'll cost me $135 to send it in and get the tubing replaced! It barely got me through residency and it's already pretty expensive to begin with! As can be seen in other reviews, I am not the only person to have this issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from having same issues as others I have tried different batteries, but same problem. Turn it on it works touch the bell it automatically shut off. I have re read and re read the instructions thinking I did something wrong. Showed to another college that has a similar one. She had same problem, there has to be a short in there somewhere or you wouldn't have the same complaints. Sent it back to scrubs and beyond and I was informed after 60 days I was pretty much out of $300.00 and nothing could be done about it. I'm sorry I have been working a lot of overtime. Then a year after having it in a closet and I had some personal things in life happen, I was not thinking of the stethoscope. When I found it again, I returned it and it was sent right back. so I'm out $300 for something I cant even use to benefit my PT and my career. so thanks for nothing. scrub n beyond

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked tubing Have had the 3200 for four years, had the tubing replaced two years ago it was starting to crack. Yesterday pulled out my stethoscope out of my locker and the tubing is crack wide open. No sudden changes in weather conditions ie: hot to cold. I live in Michigan. Super disappointed, its a Littmann suppose to be the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unnaceptable unchanged software The software is clumsy, produces audio format that is useless for educational purposes, with a a very very low volume reproduced in the computer. No new versions for several years. No bugs fixed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy I purchased this stethoscope less than a month. I t has done exactly what all the negative reviews has mentioned. It stays on for a few seconds and then shuts off. Not good at all when examining a patient. With a hearing impairment I had hoped this would help me do my job of taking care of patients. Very disappointed. I would recommend this to a friend if it actually worked for more than a month.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great when it works I have two of the 3200 models (one for each clinic). Both stethoscopes will frequently turn off as though there is a bad connection while auscultating. It is frustrating and time consuming to have to stop my examination and wiggle the tubing where it connects to the head or use the power button to turn it back on. Littmann stethoscopes have always been my brand of choice and I have never had an issue until I decided to buy the electronic stethoscopes because my hearing is decreasing and I don’t want to miss subtle changes. I think a design change is needed given there are many customers who share the same negative experience. Without changes to address this issue, I would not recommend the electronic models. Littmann has many other great stethoscopes that won’t disappoint like the 3200 series have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Come on! It's Christmas! This was my Christmas present. I read the instructions before taking it out on a spin on myself and family members. Does not work! I am stuck on diaphragm mode. : ( I am an internist, I need the bell mostly in my line of work. So, disappointed!
